am here on the couch, waiting for my pasta to cook. a woodpecker is outside, pecking on our tree. and earlier, a bird flew into the living room window. a loud thud an i saw a black thing bounced off it. looked outside but didn't see an unconcious bird so i guess it's ok.
a lot of activities outside with the "wildlife", but still not warm enough for nura to venture out for a stroll around the neighborhood. wish it gets warmer soon.
nura is getting good at sitting herself up all by herself. so much so, it's all she does now. i go to get her after naps n there she'd be, sitting in her crib. but this new trick is a bit hazardous coz just last night she did it in her semi-sleep state. i thought she was cranky from gas (that's another story)... she was crying n crying so i decided to let her cry herself back to sleep. she did after 30 minutes... an hour passed n she cried again. so i decided to go in n console her a bit, put some vapor rub on her tummy. AND THERE SHE WAS, FOLDED IN TWO. at some point, she sat up and didn't un-sit herself. and after some time of crying, just lay her head between her legs. qua qua qua...
today, chot will come home early, he went to work at 6:30 am. i should go take a shower n finish cooking dinner.

dear awin......dont want 2 alarm u or anything, but ur not suppose to give kid below d age of 2 vapour rub or vick b'cos of the methyl salicylate in the content....but maybe d vapour rub ur using is for babies i guess
the reason being, a baby will have mcm sawan le nanti because the oil will absord into her system n organs.....
just based on my experience as a mum and as read in the baby books n internet.....
just read the content next time b4 u apply anything on a kid below 2 yrs of age....just a frenly advise just in case u don kno....

the vapor rub is for babies. but my mom had been using the regular vicks on us kids n on her cucus. hmmm...

awin dearie......nope, blm meletup lagi. i'm 6 mths along. insya'Allah the stork will arrive sumwhere in early july. scan shows its gonna be a boy also. redza is quite excited as he plans to name it after a liverpool football player. men n their balls!!! well who knows kluar kluar skali its a girl.
as for me i dont mind, as long as it is normal n healthy. s u know eiqbal is a special kid (he has adhd), which requires lotsa of ur time n money. so i m hoping this one to be normal n healthy.
well good to hear abt that vapour rub thingy. its not available in Mesia tho. ok thats it from me. bye for now

Awin dearie...saw a pic of chot feeding nura. I told redza what a doting father chot is. N redza sed if he knows his distant cuz very well, it is only for show ajer. if not chot wld also be like him wen u put the camera away, melayan ESPN or sports channel!! is it true? tell me cos we made a bet on who's rite n who's wrong!!

BUT quite recently, chot dah kasi makan, this weekend n nura's dinner tonight. i think i'm gonna make him feed her her dinner everyday from now on : )... it seems like he likes doing it n i am ok letting go of some authority. bukan dia tak mau buat selama nie, win monopolize : ). but he does other things sejak nura lahir... diapers, tolong win mandikan n siapkan nura for bed every night.
so i think it's a tie between u n redza : D...

ni nak tanya, baby around 6 months old patut makan banyak mana during meal time? i have been giving 4 ice cubes of home made vege puree plus baby rice, but today my baby dok nganga lagi lepas habis! agak agak berapa cawan ye?

with my limited knowledge of babies, saya rasa u can give as much as ur baby want to eat. and usually at the new intro of new food and yummy flavors, baby tend to eat more... lama2 dia will get bosan n eat less.
with nura... at 6 months she eats about 3/4 of gerber no.1 food. now, close to 9 months, on a good feeding she can eat 1 + 1/2 gerber no.2... kadang2 rasa banyak sangat makan, takut perut meletup : )...
don't worry too much, if ever ur baby ate too much, she'll barf it out : )

thanks. now i can imagine lah how much i should feed him...kengkadang i dok pegang perut baby bila dia nak makan lagi walau dah habis his portion, mana tahu kalau rasa perut dia macam sendat semacam, suspen gak....
